About this deal

Power tools with vibrations are irritating sometimes. And on top of that, it drops down the confidence to operate, cause fatigue and serious physical health problems. Husqvarna has succeeded to eliminate this risk, thanks to the low-vib technology they add to their chainsaws.

Situated in the same category as the 455 Rancher, Stihl MS291 is one of the best alternatives. Stihl claims the model is a high-tech chainsaw built around one of the new fuel-saving engines. Stihl, one of the biggest competitors to the Husqvarna, this times adds more new features to the MS291 chainsaw. There are better Husqvarna chainsaws out there, including pro models like the 372 XP, but not everyone needs or wants a pro-level saw. And the 455 isn’t the worst Husky chainsaw – that title is reserved for the 240!

The air filtration system has been well documented in the 455 Rancher. The centrifugal air cleaning system is so designed in the chainsaw that it swirls the air around the filter to keep the dust away. In a way, it automatically removes the dust and debris that tend to clog the air filters away before reaching it. It’s no surprise that the Husqvarna models are equipped with x-torq engines. In situations where the power tools need to adhere to strict environmental rules, these models find their way with low emissions. With no cutting ability compromised, the x-torq engine reduces the output emissions along with low fuel consumption. Low-VibrationThere’s a pre-separation air filtration system for the long life of the air filter. The saw is engineered with high-powered, high-tech, low-maintenance features. With a 55.5cc engine and power of 3.76 bhp, it’s capable of handling the guide bar ranging from 16 to 20 inches. For those of you looking for a trusted brand as Husqvarna, this chainsaw can be the one to consider. Husqvarna is one of the two best chainsaw brands which usually makes it easy to find parts and service. The other benefit is the Husqvarna chainsaw communities on FB and forums. If you ever have any issues, there are thousands of other people with the same saw that can help you solve them. Featuring a petrol two-stroke engine that serves a power displacement of 55.5cc, this Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw has been ergonomically designed to offer the user comfortable use over extended periods of time. Weighing in at just 5.8kg (13lbs), the machine has been fitted with anti-vibration mounts which dramatically reduce the levels of vibration, with the highest single axis measuring 4.5 metres per second. Offering a bar length of 18"/45cm with a chain pitch of 0.325, this all-rounder machine is suitable for both the professional and occasional user.

They get dogged on and I think it’s a little unfair. It’s a dependable saw that can pull a 20″ bar. For every ten saws I service locally, 8 of them are 450 series saws and they’ve all been rode hard. The 550 XP is better in every way, but the 455 was a definite improvement over the 350 and it’s great at what it’s supposed to do. Despite plenty of merits, the cons are inevitable. There might be some features that limit the use of particular chainsaws. And similar is the case with the 455 Rancher. Few disadvantages of using the 455 Rancher are discussed below. Not Powerful Enough For SomeIf it’s gunna be a heavy use saw I’d spend the few extra dollars on a 550 or 562 XP. Or find a used XP on marketplace or something. If you already have the 455 run it. They are great saws for firewood. Just won’t stand up to the abuse like like an XP. This advanced feature allows you to adjust the chain and/or bar without being exposed to the sharp cutting chains. All it requires is the flat head screwdriver and adjust the chain accordingly. Inertia-activated Chain Brakes For example, the difference between the 455 Rancher and 455 e-series Rancher is that the latter has a toolless chain tensioner. That’s the only difference between the two saws and what we assume e-series means. However, if you have a 455 e-series Rancher that has regular bar nuts, that just means it was produced once this designation stopped meaning anything (my Husky 450 e-series is an example of this). 455R Specs And Features Engine
